Disastrous Encounter is part of the "Pyramus and Thisbe" story, a Greek myth that inspired Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" as well as many others. In the spring of 2023, CSUF's Sequential studies classes collaborated to produce a Webtoons Anthology adaptation of Ovid's Metamorphoses. 48 students were assigned an episode to create and direct, and then they served as an inker and colorist to 2 episodes other than their own. So it was my role to design the look, the colors, the characters and the environments of my section, and then I created the panels. My inker Leela Dembowski drew over my pencil lines digitally, and then my colorist Erika Chan followed my examples and helped me finish the pieces.
